See if you can connect to your public library’s periodical database. Most allow you to type in your library card number and obtain articles.

I think it’s important to have child abuse awareness. Children are young, small, and fragile. They don’t stand much of a Chance in defending themselves to a full grown adult. If someone doesn’t stop it or help the child they are forced to keep enduring what ever it is they are facing.
Child abuse awareness makes people More aware it occurs and are more likely to help rather than do nothing or to think there must be something else going on then what they think they just seen……
Sometimes when people wouldn’t dream of doing something themselves, they don’t consider others might. Child abuse awareness would bring light on the fact that it does exist and there is a problem to address.
The awareness will cause people to come forward knowing they aren’t alone and it needs stopped as well. It will point out to people they need to do something to protect the child. It also might encourage children to tell knowing there are avenues out there for them. It also encourages adults to do something.
I wouldn’t want to be the child who has to take it over and over because they are to small to stop it and others turn their heads or aren’t even aware it goes on.Abuse causes permant damages both mentally and physically. It can reallly ruin an innocent life. I think we all sould do what we can to protect our children who are to small to protect themselves.

Mark asks…
What color ribbon do I wear in Canada to support Child Abuse Awareness month??
I understand that April is Child abuse awareness month and realize that in the US you wear Blue Ribbons to show your support. I would also like to show my support here as well but would like to wear the proper ribbon.. I was told that purple is for Canadians, but my research online indicates that this color is for domestic abuse. If you know the answer could you please help. Also if anyone knows where they can be purchased as well.. Thank you

Try freecycle.org. That’s a site of people giving away free stuff. If you post a want add, explain why you need it I’m sure in no time you’ll have what you need. Its through your yahoo email also so you’ll know right away when someone responds to ya. I wish i could help more than that, i think its great what you are doing!

Ruth asks…
How can i raise awareness of child abuse?
I’m 13 years old so i can’t foster a child or anything like that but i feel like i should be doing something to help those poor children who get physically, mentally or even sexually abused.
