Our pediatrician office has similar forms that have blanks for you to fill in. Also check with your child’s school… maybe they have one you can use and you can white out/copy the things you need on it? Good luck

Will the free version of Turbo Tax allow for child tax credit and child care expenses?

I am interested in doing a free form of federal tax e-file. I have heard alot about the turbo tax fee edition. I would be claiming only myself/my income and our 2 children on my tax return. I do want to receive the child tax credit as well as to be able to claim the child care expenses and the new “making work” credit. Just wondering if turbo tax free edition will allow for this and if not is there any free tax e-filing site out there where I can file free (not interested in going directly to the irs.gov website and filing). Thanks so much in advance! :)
Thank you RUserious! :) I was just nervous about doing that worried that it might mess me up if I dont complete it and decide to actually just do what I do ever year and go to a tax place and get them done. It wouldnt mess me up would it???? Thanks!

admin answers:

Yes. I used the Freedom edition which is different from the free file, freedom files most state and federal free if you qualify, and I got those credits.

Applying for Child Care Assistance?

I am 17 years old and have a 2 month old baby. In january I will be going back to my high school. I also attend EVIT to become a medical assistant and in january i will be starting my externship.

I will attend high school from 745am to 1100pm and EVIT in mesa on mondays 1205pm to 235pm (back in Queen Creek 330pm) and on tues, wed, thurs my externship (up the street from the school) 1pm to 4pm

So I am in need of basically a full time baby sitter. Her father is 18 lives at home with his family and works full time so he can’t watch her and either can family.

My mom told me to apply for child care assistance so my daughter can go to child care for free or cheap. Me or my daughters father don’t make enough to be able to pay for it and either of our parents wont pay for it,since they have their own children and it is my child.

My only problem is I live at home and the child care assistance form says that if my mom is going to claim me as a dependant (which she might) i have to include my moms income.. with her income she would make too much to where i wouldnt be eligible for it.. (even though she doesnt give any money to support my child).

What should I do? And if my mom doesnt claim me but i file my own taxes (which i dont even know if i can) how do I go about doing that?

admin answers:

Apply any ways. If you get turned down, you may have wait to go to school. The other thing is take the baby’s daddy to court for child support then he will have to pay.
